SARGODHA (Tahir Kamboh): In line with the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, a weekly general parade was held at the District Police Lines in Sargodha.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Fazal Qadir inspected the parade, during which smartly turned-out police contingents presented a salute. Personnel from the district police, Elite Force, traffic police and women police units participated in the weekly parade.
Speaking on the occasion, officials said the purpose of holding regular general parades is to maintain physical fitness, discipline and professional readiness among police personnel. The parade also serves to reinforce coordination and commitment across various police units.
District Police Officer Sargodha, Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, emphasized that police officials must perform their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication. He urged officers to prioritize public service and uphold the principles of law and justice while carrying out their responsibilities.
Senior officers highlighted that maintaining discipline, physical preparedness and ethical conduct is essential for effective policing and public trust. The weekly parade initiative, they added, reflects the Punjab Police leadership’s focus on professionalism and accountability.
The event concluded with a briefing on operational readiness and the importance of teamwork among different branches of the police force to ensure public safety and law enforcement across the district.
