The White House has announced that the United States will continue its military operations in Iran until the objectives set by President Donald Trump are fully achieved.
Speaking to reporters, the White House spokesperson stated that the operation would only conclude once all predetermined goals outlined by the president have been accomplished. She emphasized that the administration remains confident the targets will be achieved quickly.
The spokesperson also clarified that the United States has not provided protection to any ships passing through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. She added that President Trump and his energy team are closely monitoring global energy markets amid the ongoing tensions. According to her, additional options are being considered to address any potential disruptions in energy supply.
Meanwhile, the United States Department of Defense, commonly known as the Pentagon, confirmed that 140 American soldiers have been injured during the 10 day conflict with Iran.
However, a separate report by a news agency citing unnamed sources suggested that the number of injured U.S. troops may be higher. According to those sources, up to 150 American soldiers have been wounded since the fighting began.
The ongoing conflict has raised concerns about regional stability and the potential for further escalation in the Middle East.
