World Bank Reaffirms Support for Pakistan’s $20 Billion 10-Year Development Progra
Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met World Bank Managing Director Anna Bjerde in Saudi Arabia during the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation.
During the meeting, discussions were held on Pakistan’s Country Partnership Framework and key development priorities, including energy, education, healthcare, climate change, and financial reforms.
Anna Bjerde emphasized the importance of effective implementation of the program to maximize its development impact.
The finance minister highlighted that strong coordination and timely implementation require the active role and cooperation of provincial governments, with federal ministries fully supporting the process.
