Security forces pay tribute as funeral held with full honors in Peshawar following a militant clash in Hassan Khel.
The funeral prayers of six Federal Constabulary personnel were held at the FC headquarters in Peshawar after they were killed during an operation against militants in the Hassan Khel area. The ceremony was attended by senior federal and provincial officials, including the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry. High-ranking military and civil officers, such as the Inspector General of FC North Major General Rao Imran Sartaj and other law enforcement chiefs, also participated.
Officials expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to the professionalism and courage of the fallen personnel. They met with the families of the deceased, offering condolences and acknowledging their sacrifice in maintaining national security.
Ongoing Operation and Official Response
The martyred personnel were identified as Naik Amir, Lance Naik Muhammad Yousaf, Lance Naik Muhammad Riaz, and soldiers Ajmeer, Ehsan, and Riaz. Authorities confirmed that clearance and search operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to eliminate remaining threats.
Officials stated that the sacrifices of the personnel will not go in vain and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to counter militancy. The fallen officers are expected to be buried with full official honors as security forces maintain heightened vigilance in the region.
