8,000 Liters of Fake Milk Seized in Joint Raids by Punjab and Islamabad Food Authorities

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Authorities say strict monitoring aims to ensure safe milk supply in twin cities during Ramadan

The Punjab Food Authority and the Islamabad Food Authority have intensified joint operations against milk adulteration, seizing and destroying 8,000 liters of fake milk during the latest raid, officials said Monday.

According to a spokesperson, the two authorities have conducted 28 joint operations so far, discarding a total of 22,000 liters of adulterated milk. The recent action was carried out in the I-10 Industrial Area following confidential intelligence reports.

During the raid, officials recovered 336 liters of oil, 240 kilograms of banaspati ghee, 350 kilograms of dry powder and machinery used to manufacture counterfeit milk. Authorities said the fake milk was being prepared using dry powder and banaspati ghee and was intended for supply across the twin cities during the holy month of Ramadan.

Officials noted that strict enforcement in Punjab had pushed adulteration networks to shift operations toward Islamabad. The joint crackdown aims to ensure the provision of quality milk in both cities.

Citizens have been urged to report complaints via the helpline 1223.
