Police reaffirm commitment to a drug-free Nowshera as crackdown continues under district leadership.
Nowshera: In a continued push against narcotics, Nizam Pur police arrested an alleged drug dealer and recovered more than 3 kilograms of hashish, officials confirmed on Friday.
The operation was carried out under the directives of District Police Officer Ahmad Shah, who has reiterated his commitment to maintaining a “drug-free Nowshera.” Acting on this vision, the crackdown was supervised by SDPO Akora Khattak Circle Akhtar Naseer Khan.
According to police, Station House Officer Rameen Khan, along with his team, conducted a targeted operation in the Charpai area. During the raid, the suspect, identified as Muhammad Ameen alias Babu, son of Abdul Waheed, was taken into custody.
Authorities recovered 3,318 grams of hashish from the accused’s possession. A formal case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace possible links within the drug supply network.
Police officials emphasized that operations against drug trafficking will continue without interruption, warning that no leniency will be shown to those involved in the illegal trade.
