Fresh forecast reveals rain patterns across northern regions while southern cities brace for dry, warm conditions.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s meteorological authorities have issued a fresh weather outlook, predicting scattered rain and thunderstorms in northern regions while much of the country experiences mild to warm conditions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, parts of Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to receive rain accompanied by thunder, signaling a brief spell of unsettled weather in the mountainous north. In contrast, skies over Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain partly cloudy, with chances of light rain at isolated locations.
In Lahore, overnight showers swept across several neighborhoods, bringing cooler temperatures and a pleasant change in weather. Areas including Township, Model Town and Gulberg recorded varying intensity of rainfall. The city’s temperature ranged between 19°C and 30°C, and more rainfall is likely within the next 24 hours under partly cloudy skies.
The federal capital Islamabad is expected to see partly cloudy conditions throughout the day. Temperatures may rise to 27°C after a cooler morning, with humidity levels remaining high. However, no rainfall is anticipated in the city during the next day.
Meanwhile, Karachi will continue to experience dry weather despite partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures are forecast to hover between 31°C and 33°C, with strong sun keeping conditions warm. Officials noted that while rain is unlikely today, a new system could bring showers to the city on March 28 and 29.
Air quality in Karachi remains satisfactory, offering some relief amid rising temperatures.
