Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has assured full facilitation for the potential supply of diesel and jet fuel to Pakistan-flagged vessels from Kuwait marking a significant development in bilateral energy cooperation.
The assurance was conveyed during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Kuwaiti Ambassador Nasser Abdulrahman Jassim Al Mutairi. According to the Petroleum Division Kuwait Petroleum Corporation confirmed that it will provide all necessary support to ensure smooth possible deliveries of diesel and jet fuel to Pakistan flagged ships.
During the meeting Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s continued cooperation and support. He highlighted that despite global and regional challenges, Kuwait has remained a reliable energy partner for Pakistan. He also noted that Pakistan has been importing petroleum products, particularly diesel from Kuwait for the past five decades reflecting strong trust and long standing partnership between the two countries.
The minister further stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is actively engaging in efforts to promote peaceful resolution of international disputes and strengthen diplomatic cooperation.
The Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Pakistan and appreciated its constructive role in promoting peace and regional stability. Both sides agreed to continue strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.
