Iran war costs Israel over $11.5 billion: Finance Ministry

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Israel’s war with Iran has cost the country more than $11.5 billion, according to the Israeli Ministry of Finance. Official estimates show that around $11.52 billion has been spent so far, with a significant portion allocated to defense expenses.

Reports indicate that over $7.25 billion has gone toward military costs, including weapons, flight operations, reserve troop deployment, and damages sustained during the conflict. The government has also approved an additional $2.3 billion to further support defense spending.

These figures are preliminary and already included in Israel’s 2026 budget. They do not account for future reconstruction costs or economic losses caused by partial shutdowns during the war.

Additionally, compensation payments between $3.8 and $4.2 billion are expected for citizens whose homes and businesses were affected.
