Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters in Tehran on Thursday as part of his official trip to the country.
According to Iranian media, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Ali Abdollahi, welcomed Field Marshal Asim Munir upon his arrival.
Earlier, the Army Chief also met with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran, where both sides discussed key regional issues.
It is worth noting that Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Iran’s capital on Wednesday. His visit is aimed at addressing obstacles in ongoing efforts related to US-Iran negotiations and achieving a lasting ceasefire in the region.
Upon his arrival, he held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who thanked Pakistan for facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran. Araghchi emphasized that Iran and Pakistan share a strong and mutual commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
He also expressed pleasure in welcoming Field Marshal Asim Munir to Iran.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit is part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran and to support regional peace initiatives.
