Anchor Jameel Farooqui’s Wife Rescued on Court Order, Alleges Detention and Torture

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Islamabad police have recovered Ayesha Musarrat, the wife of anchor Jameel Farooqui, following a court order issued by a District and Sessions Court.

According to details, Additional Sessions Judge Irfan Akram directed authorities to recover the woman, after which she was found from the jurisdiction of Golra police station in Islamabad and presented before the court.

The court had issued the recovery order a day earlier on a petition filed by her parents.

During the hearing, Ayesha Musarrat stated that she had been living with her husband for the past two months and was not allowed to meet her parents.

She alleged that Jameel Farooqui had subjected her to continuous physical and mental torture. She further stated that she is an adult, fully capable of making her own decisions, and expressed her desire to go with her parents.

After hearing her statement, the court observed that she is a competent adult and free to make her own choice. The court allowed her to go with her parents and disposed of the petition regarding illegal detention.
