A senior Iranian military figure, Mohammad Reza Naqdi, has claimed that Iran holds “full military superiority” and could severely disrupt global oil markets if tensions rise again. Speaking in an interview reported by Iranian media, he said Tehran has not yet deployed its most destructive weapons and is holding back key capabilities for future phases.
Naqdi warned that Iran could halt regional oil production and respond forcefully to any attacks on its infrastructure. He stated that if Iran’s power facilities were targeted, adversaries would face similar consequences.
He also issued a stark warning regarding US naval assets, saying that a single ballistic missile strike on an aircraft carrier could trigger massive destruction. He added that Iran’s ground forces yet to be fully engaged remain a major strength and could target US bases in the region if necessary.
The comments underscore rising tensions between Iran and the United States, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
