A disturbing allegation of sexual assault inside a government office in Sheikhupura has triggered public anger and raised urgent questions about security and accountability.
SHEIKHUPURA: A deeply troubling case has emerged from Sheikhupura, where a 15-year-old laborer was allegedly sexually assaulted inside the premises of an Assistant Commissioner’s office, according to police officials.
The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage, was reported after the victim’s father filed a formal complaint at Safdarabad police station. Authorities confirmed that a case has been registered against three suspects accused of involvement in the assault and subsequent physical abuse of the minor.
Initial reports suggest the suspects allegedly entered the government office premises on official motorcycles linked to a pera force. The victim, described as a poor laborer, was reportedly targeted inside the office, raising serious concerns over misuse of government facilities and lack of oversight.
Police officials said an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to apprehend the accused. “The case is being treated with utmost seriousness, and justice will be ensured,” a senior officer stated, adding that forensic evidence and witness statements are being collected.
The incident has intensified criticism of institutional security protocols and prompted calls for strict accountability. Legal experts emphasize that crimes occurring within government premises not only constitute severe criminal violations but also erode public trust in state institutions.
Child protection advocates have urged swift action, highlighting the vulnerability of underage workers and the urgent need for stronger safeguards. They stress that such cases must be handled transparently to ensure justice and deter future offenses.
As the investigation progresses, authorities are expected to provide further updates, while public pressure continues to mount for immediate arrests and strict punishment for those involved.
