Interpol Issues Red Notices for Malik Riaz and Son Ali Riaz Malik Amid Massive Corruption Probe

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Interpol red notices have been issued against real estate tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz Malik amid allegations of large-scale corruption, according to Pakistan’s anti-graft authorities.

A major development has shaken Pakistan’s business and legal circles as Interpol has reportedly issued red notices for prominent real estate figure Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz Malik, intensifying a long-running corruption investigation led by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to NAB Chairman Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, the red notices were issued through Interpol channels in connection with ongoing cases related to alleged corruption in the real estate sector. He stated that the move is aimed at locating the accused individuals and facilitating their legal proceedings and possible extradition.

Officials clarified that an Interpol red notice is not an international arrest warrant, but rather a formal request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally detain a wanted person pending extradition procedures.

NAB’s Director General Operations has claimed that investigations involving alleged financial irregularities exceeding 900 billion rupees have been completed in cases linked to Malik Riaz. The figure underscores the scale of the inquiry, which remains one of the most closely watched accountability cases in recent years.

At present, Malik Riaz is believed to be residing in the United Arab Emirates. His real estate business maintains ongoing international projects, including large-scale residential and commercial developments in Dubai South near Al Maktoum International Airport.

Previously, NAB officials had indicated that Pakistan was pursuing legal and diplomatic channels to seek Malik Riaz’s extradition from the UAE. The latest Interpol development is expected to further intensify scrutiny and diplomatic engagement around the case.

As the investigation continues, authorities have not confirmed any immediate arrests, while legal experts note that the next phase will depend on international cooperation and extradition procedures.
