PSL 11 Final Turns Lahore Into Fortress as Massive Traffic Plan Shakes Up City Routes

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Lahore authorities unveil an extensive traffic and parking strategy to manage massive crowds expected for the PSL 11 Final at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

As excitement builds for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 Final, Lahore’s traffic authorities have rolled out an extensive citywide management plan designed to prevent gridlock while accommodating thousands of cricket fans heading to the high-stakes match.

The City Traffic Police Lahore confirmed a large-scale deployment of more than 500 traffic wardens, supported by 90 inspectors and eight DSPs, all operating under divisional supervision. Eleven forklifts will also be stationed across key points to immediately clear illegally parked vehicles and keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Officials have set up five dedicated parking zones for spectators, including Government College Gulberg, CBD parking facilities, Sunfort Hotel, and designated areas around Liberty. These zones are intended to distribute vehicle load and reduce congestion near the stadium precinct.

Clear route instructions have also been issued. Fans arriving via Ferozepur Road will be redirected at Kalma Chowk toward Gulberg parking areas, while those coming from Defence and Cantt will be guided through Main Boulevard Gulberg via Hussain Chowk and Sherpao Bridge toward Liberty parking.

Visitors from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will be routed toward Sunfort Hotel and Liberty zones through Main Boulevard Gulberg. Authorities have emphasized strict adherence to these directions to prevent bottlenecks during peak arrival hours.

Despite the scale of arrangements, Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi confirmed that no major roads will be permanently closed. Key arteries such as Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, and Main Boulevard Gulberg will remain operational throughout the event to maintain citywide mobility.

Officials have urged citizens to cooperate with traffic staff and follow designated routes, stressing that disciplined public movement will be essential to ensuring smooth access to the PSL 11 Final venue and surrounding areas.
