Pakistan Confirms Zilhaj Moon Sighting — Eid-ul-Adha Date Officially Announced Nationwide

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan has officially announced the sighting of the Zilhaj moon, confirming that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated across the country on Wednesday, May 27. The announcement sparked excitement among millions of Muslims preparing for one of Islam’s most significant religious festivals.

The moon sighting confirmation came after meetings of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, where testimonies from different parts of the country were reviewed. Following the official declaration, preparations for Eid prayers, animal sacrifices, and family gatherings intensified nationwide.

Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Muslims observe the occasion by offering sacrifices and distributing meat among relatives, friends, and the underprivileged.

Markets in major cities have already witnessed increased activity as citizens purchase sacrificial animals, clothing, and other Eid essentials. Authorities are also expected to implement special cleanliness and security arrangements during the holiday period.

The confirmation of the Zilhaj moon also marks the beginning of the Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia, where millions of pilgrims have gathered for the annual pilgrimage.
