The overwhelming success of the Pakistani drama “Ghulam Bashah Sundri” continues to dominate conversations, as its cast opened up about the show’s massive popularity during a special screening of the final episode held at cinemas.
The Green Entertainment production, which has reportedly become one of the most-watched dramas on YouTube, concluded its journey with a celebratory screening attended by lead stars including Imran Ashraf, Hina Afridi, Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz, Tazeen Hussain, and Shahzad Nawaz.
Speaking at the event, Imran Ashraf, who portrayed the titular character Ghulam, reflected on the drama’s success with humility. He stated that success or failure is not in human control and credited divine will along with the collective effort of the producer, director, writer, and entire team. He praised his co-stars and highlighted the strong performances delivered by Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz and Hina Afridi.
Hina Afridi shared her experience of sudden popularity, revealing that audiences no longer call her by her real name but instead recognize her as “Sundri.” She described this transformation as a significant milestone in her acting career and a clear sign of the drama’s impact on viewers.
Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz, who played the complex character Bashah, also spoke candidly about the overwhelming response from fans. He expressed gratitude for the audience’s support and credited the director for trusting him with the role.
