Security forces launched a search and clearance operation after nine police officers were killed in a terrorist attack following an overnight exchange of gunfire in Ziarat, Balochistan.
A deadly terrorist attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan province claimed the lives of nine police officers in the district of Ziarat, marking another major security incident in the region.
According to police, the attack occurred in the Kach Mangi Phase III area, where security personnel had been engaged in an intense exchange of gunfire with terrorists since the previous night. The prolonged clash ended with the martyrdom of nine police officers.
The Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat confirmed that the bodies of the fallen officers were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Ziarat for necessary procedures.
Authorities said the attackers specifically targeted police personnel. Following the incident, law enforcement agencies launched a search and clearance operation to secure the area and prevent any remaining militants from escaping.
Security has also been tightened across the district as investigators examine multiple aspects of the attack and work to identify those responsible. Officials have vowed to continue operations against the perpetrators.
