Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed public welfare, development projects, security measures, and constituency issues during a meeting with provincial lawmakers, while receiving appreciation for key government initiatives.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with Members of the Provincial Assembly Mian Shahid Hussain Khan and Muhammad Aoun Jahangir to discuss public concerns, law and order, development projects, and the province’s overall political situation.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed constituency-related issues, ongoing development schemes, and public welfare initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life across Punjab. The lawmakers also expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Kahna tragedy, offering prayers for the deceased and strength for the bereaved families.
The legislators congratulated the chief minister on presenting Punjab’s third surplus budget and welcomed the launch of the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” initiative, describing it as a positive step for the agricultural sector. They also praised the provincial government’s decision to expand the Green Electric Bus project to the tehsil level, improve road infrastructure, continue beautification projects, and strengthen welfare programs for women and children.
The lawmakers further appreciated the government’s security, sanitation, and public service arrangements for the observance of Muharram.
