Pakistan’s security forces continue Operation Shaaban in Balochistan, eliminating five more militants as authorities vow to sustain counterterrorism efforts until militant networks are dismantled.
Pakistan’s security forces have killed five more militants during fresh operations under the ongoing Operation Shaaban in Balochistan, further intensifying the country’s campaign against militant groups operating in the province.
According to security sources, the latest operation was carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and police. The coordinated action targeted militant hideouts as part of a sustained counterterrorism drive aimed at restoring security across the province.
Officials said the number of militants killed during Operation Shaaban has now reached 76. Since July 5, a total of 114 militants have been eliminated in various counterterrorism operations conducted across Balochistan.
Authorities reiterated that Operation Shaaban will continue until militant organizations are completely dismantled and areas affected by terrorism are fully cleared. Security agencies said operations are being carried out with a focus on disrupting militant infrastructure and preventing future attacks.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their professionalism and operational success, reaffirming the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism. He said decisive action would continue against elements seeking to destabilize Balochistan and stressed that the nation stands united in support of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in their efforts to restore lasting peace.
