ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has approved the promotion of Lieutenant General Aamer Raza, HI(M), SBt, to the rank of Four-Star General and appointed him as Commander National Strategic Command in a significant development for Pakistan’s military leadership.
General Aamer Raza was serving as the Chief of the General Staff of the Pakistan Army before receiving the promotion. His elevation to the four-star rank places him among the country’s highest-ranking military officers.
The prime minister congratulated General Aamer Raza on his promotion and new appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to shoulder the important national responsibility. He extended his best wishes for the successful discharge of his duties in overseeing the country’s strategic command.
