The Celebrities Cricket League (CCL) has appointed prominent digital creator and entrepreneur Safeer Afridi as its official Brand Ambassador for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking a key step in preparations for the league’s inaugural edition.
The announcement reflects CCL’s vision of combining cricket with youth empowerment, community development, and digital engagement. Through the appointment, the league aims to strengthen its outreach efforts while encouraging greater participation in grassroots cricket across the province.
At 26, Safeer Afridi has built a strong presence in Pakistan’s digital landscape with more than eight years of experience creating educational and technology-focused content. Subject to official approvals, the first edition of the Celebrities Cricket League is expected to feature six competitive teams and is proposed to be held at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium during October or November.
Welcoming the appointment, CCL Founder Muhammad Anas said Safeer Afridi’s creativity, positive influence, and ability to inspire young audiences align perfectly with the league’s mission of promoting grassroots cricket and creating opportunities for future talent.
Expressing his excitement, Safeer Afridi said it was an honor to join the league as Brand Ambassador, adding that cricket has always united communities. He said he looks forward to supporting young talent and encouraging greater youth participation in the sport.
