Security forces recovered weapons and explosives as nationwide counterterrorism operations under Azm-e-Istehkam continue across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Pakistan’s security forces have killed 32 militants during coordinated intelligence-based operations conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past 24 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the operations were part of the ongoing nationwide counterterrorism campaign targeting militant networks. During overnight operations on July 28-29 in Khyber district, security forces carried out multiple intelligence-based area sanitisation and targeted raids, killing 24 militants.
In a separate series of intelligence-based operations in Nushki district, Balochistan, security forces engaged militants in an intense exchange of fire, eliminating eight more militants.
According to ISPR, weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by the militants were recovered and destroyed during the operations.
The military said sanitisation operations remain underway to clear the affected areas of any remaining militants. It added that the counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue to eliminate terrorism and its facilitators across the country.
ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to maintaining peace and security through sustained counterterrorism operations.
