Pakistan Railways has resumed normal train operations after completing emergency track repairs, restoring rail connectivity between Balochistan and the rest of the country.
Rail services between Balochistan and the rest of Pakistan have resumed after Pakistan Railways completed emergency track repairs that had temporarily suspended train operations for one day.
Railway officials confirmed that maintenance teams successfully repaired the affected section of the railway track, allowing services to restart safely. The temporary suspension was introduced as a precaution to protect passengers while engineers carried out essential repair work.
Following the completion of maintenance, the Jaffar Express departed from Quetta for Peshawar according to its regular schedule, marking the restoration of normal rail connectivity between Balochistan and other provinces.
Officials also confirmed that the Jaffar Express traveling from Peshawar is expected to reach Quetta on Wednesday as scheduled. Railway authorities said train operations across the route are now functioning normally without further disruptions.
The railway administration emphasized that the brief suspension was solely a safety measure. Maintenance crews worked around the clock to restore the damaged track within 24 hours, minimizing inconvenience for passengers and preventing extended service interruptions.
The restoration of services is expected to ease travel for commuters and long-distance passengers who were affected by the temporary halt. Pakistan Railways has assured travelers that it will continue closely monitoring track conditions to maintain safe and uninterrupted operations.
