Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s residence and offered condolences over the death of his mother.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Saturday and expressed condolences over the death of his mother.
During the visit, Naqvi conveyed his sympathy to Gohar and his family and offered Fateha for the deceased. He prayed for her forgiveness and eternal peace and asked Allah Almighty to grant the bereaved family patience and strength.
Barrister Gohar thanked the interior minister for personally visiting his residence and sharing the family’s grief. The meeting was held in a solemn atmosphere and remained focused on the bereavement, with no political discussions reported.
Gohar’s mother died on Aug. 8. Her funeral prayers were offered before she was buried in her native area, where relatives and well-wishers gathered to pay their respects.
Naqvi’s visit came as political figures, colleagues and other well-wishers continued to convey condolences to the PTI chairman and his family. Personal visits to bereaved families are traditionally viewed as gestures of solidarity and support during times of loss, regardless of political differences.
The meeting also reflected the personal and social ties that can continue despite political disagreements. Rather than limiting his response to a formal condolence message, Naqvi visited Gohar’s home to express his sympathies in person.
Barrister Gohar remains a prominent figure in PTI’s political and legal affairs. His mother’s death occurred amid continued political activity involving the party and its leadership.
