Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said the reconstruction of Radio Pakistan Peshawar represents a commitment to nation-building and the country’s development.
In a post on X, Tarar said Radio Pakistan Peshawar holds historic significance as the place from where the announcement of Pakistan’s establishment was made.

He said the national heritage site was damaged during the May 9 incidents and described its reconstruction as a response centered on development and progress.
“Where the announcement of Pakistan’s establishment was made, our response to those who burned this national heritage is construction and development,” Tarar said in his post.
Tarar said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered the reconstruction of the Radio Pakistan building following the destruction on May 9. He added that the reconstruction work had now been completed.
The minister said the public was witnessing developments and reaffirmed the government’s stated commitment to preventing obstacles to the country’s and nation’s progress.
“Our resolve is that we will not allow anyone to become a hurdle in the way of the bright future of the country and nation,” Tarar said.
