Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has rejected a statement by Barrister Gohar, describing it as political and saying there is little substance in the remarks.
Tarar said Barrister Gohar is a decent person and should speak in a manner consistent with his personality. He said the statement was politically motivated and appeared aimed at raising the political temperature.
The federal minister also addressed speculation about the possible arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. Tarar said chief ministers are generally not arrested and that, at present, there appeared to be no possibility of Afridi’s arrest.
Tarar stressed that no one should take the law into their own hands, emphasizing the need to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
