Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praises security forces for eliminating 33 militants since Sept. 21 and recovering weapons, ammunition and explosives during operations in Balochistan.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised Pakistan’s security forces for their successful operations against what the government describes as Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan in Balochistan.
The prime minister particularly commended the security forces for killing 33 militants since Sept. 21 during the ongoing Shaban operation.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif also praised the professional capabilities of the security forces for recovering weapons, ammunition and explosive material from the militants’ hideouts.
The prime minister said operations by security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue with full force until terrorism was completely eliminated.
“Complete elimination of terrorism sponsored by foreign elements, including Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan, is the government’s top priority,” the prime minister said, according to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The remarks came as security forces continued operations in Balochistan against militants described by the government as being backed by India.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the recovery of weapons, ammunition and explosives from militant hideouts reflected the professional capabilities of the security forces.
The government has reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies will maintain operations against militant groups until the threat of terrorism is eliminated.
