Pakistan’s: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has strongly rejected what it called a coordinated and misleading propaganda campaign by Indian and Afghan media against Pakistan. The campaign, according to the ministry, aimed to create fear and confusion among the public by spreading false claims related to solar panels and the situation in Balochistan.
In an official statement, the ministry said that social media platforms were being used to spread the impression that the Pakistan Army was oppressing people in Balochistan and destroying the livelihoods of local farmers. To support this false narrative, a video was circulated showing a man in uniform allegedly damaging solar panels.
However, the Ministry of Information declared these claims completely baseless and misleading. It stated that the video was being deliberately taken out of context and used as part of an organized disinformation campaign. According to the ministry, there is no evidence that the Pakistan Army is involved in destroying solar panels or targeting farmers.
The ministry further said that such propaganda is designed to harm Pakistan’s image internationally and create unrest within the country. It warned the public to be cautious about unverified content on social media and to rely only on credible and official sources for information.
Authorities have also indicated that those involved in spreading fake news and propaganda will be identified and dealt with according to the law. The government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens’ livelihoods and countering false narratives with facts and transparency
