Islamabad: (Syed Yasin Hashmi) – Islamabad Police have issued a traffic advisory for tourists planning to travel to Murree, as all entry points to the hill station have been closed due to heavy snowfall.
According to Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, severe snowfall during the night caused the closure of Murree’s main access routes. Traffic diversions have been placed on both major roads leading towards Murree, and vehicles are being turned back for safety reasons.
The Murree administration is making continuous efforts to clear snow from the roads so that the blocked routes can be reopened as soon as possible. Authorities stated that road clearance work is in progress despite challenging weather conditions.
Islamabad Police have appealed to tourists to avoid traveling towards Murree for the time being and to cooperate with traffic police officers deployed on the roads. Officials assured that once the routes are cleared and safe for travel, the public will be informed promptly.
Citizens have been advised to follow official traffic updates and instructions to avoid inconvenience.
