Hurley Tells UK Court of Brutal Invasion of Privacy

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

British born actress Elizabeth Hurley has made disturbing allegations against sections of the British media claiming her personal privacy was illegally violated. Speaking during a high profile hearing in a UK court, Hurley described what she termed a brutal invasion of her private life by the press.

The lawsuit has been filed against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail. Hurley is one of seven claimants in the case alongside Prince Harry and renowned musician Elton John, who accuse the publishing group of serious breaches of privacy.

During her testimony the 60 year old actress told the court that more than 15 articles about her were based on unlawfully obtained information. She alleged that her mobile phones had been hacked and that hidden microphones were installed in her home to intercept private conversations. Hurley also revealed that one published article disclosed confidential medical information related to her pregnancy and the birth of her son Damian.

She firmly denied claims that the information was leaked by David Furnish Elton John’s husband. During cross examination by the publisher’s lawyer Anthony White, Hurley became emotional and was seen in tears.

Prince Harry attended the hearing and was photographed sitting beside Hurley’s son in a show of support. Associated Newspapers has denied all allegations, calling them baseless and defamatory.
