Basant 2026 Lahore: Rajab Butt Urges Safe Celebrations Amid Kite Festival Preparations

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

LAHORE : (Click Pakistan) Rajab Butt, a popular Pakistani YouTuber and social media figure has encouraged people to go out and partake in the Basant festival in Lahore in the most responsible way since the festival has not been held in the city in almost two decades.

In an interview with the local media, Rajab Butt talked about the hazards of kite strings and why it is essential to be careful with them especially motorcyclists and children on roof tops. Have fun the bright Basant, but first security, he said.

The Punjab Government has also made efforts to ensure safe celebrations by sanctioning the production of kite-flying material in four more districts namely Faisalabad, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Multan through the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Act 2025. Only registered manufacturers may manufacture kite related items with strict safety standards.

According to the officials, registration should be done via the e-Biz portal of the Punjab Government and the rules of Kite Flying have to be observed. The relocation is to make the preparations of the festival smoother since it is to take place in Lahore between the dates of February 6, 7 and 8.

Already with markets and rooftops buzzing all over the city with colorful kites, authorities and other citizens in high positions are reminding people of their responsibilities in celebrating the festival without exposing people to danger.
