PSL 11 Franchises Begin Direct Signings as Moeen Ali and Devon Conway Join Teams

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

KARACHI: (Yaseen Hashmi) Franchises in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have begun direct signings of overseas players ahead of the official player draft scheduled for Feb. 11, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed.

Under new regulations, each franchise has been permitted to directly sign one foreign player before the draft. Karachi Kings announced the signing of England all-rounder Moeen Ali for approximately $250,000, strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United secured New Zealand star batter Devon Conway for around $225,000, adding experience and stability to their batting lineup.

Sources indicate that several other franchises are also finalizing agreements with international players, with official announcements expected in the coming days. Newly introduced franchise Sialkot Stallions has expressed interest in signing Australia’s premier batter Steve Smith, although no formal confirmation has been made.

The 11th edition of the PSL is scheduled to begin on March 27. The upcoming season will mark a historic expansion of the tournament, with eight franchises competing for the first time, reflecting the league’s growing global appeal and commercial success.
