SARGODHA: (Tahir Kamboh) Sargodha celebrated the Kashmir Solidarity Day passionately as people, authorities and students gathered together and voiced their opinions in favour of the Kashmiri cause. The central event, which was organized by the district administration, was held at the Arts Council Complex, where the representatives of the administration, civil society, and a great amount of citizens were present.
It started off with a minute of silence in honor of the Kashmir victims of Indian military actions. Students of local schools showed tableaus of the iniquities perpetrated by the Indian forces on unarmed Kashmiris and the attendees cried with the emotions they experienced.
In Pakistan, the hoisting of the Pakistani and Kashmiri flags in the Arts Council Complex was carried out by Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali with the salute provided by the police contingents. This was followed by a rally (Kashmir Solidarity Rally) by Arts Council to Azadi Chowk where all sections of people participated chanting anti-India slogans.
The same seminars and walks took place throughout the district under the leadership of assistant commissioners reiterating the support of Kashmiri self-determination. Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali and Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Choudhry speaking at the event said, “Kashmir is our lifeline. Sargodha today, together with our Kashmiri brothers, sends a powerful message to the world that the flame of freedom in Kashmir could not be put off.
