Washington: The United States Virtual Embassy has issued an urgent advisory instructing American citizens currently in Iran to leave the country immediately amid growing security concerns.
According to foreign media reports the Virtual Embassy warned that the situation in Iran could deteriorate rapidly, making travel difficult or impossible at short notice. In an official statement, US authorities advised citizens not to rely on government assistance for evacuation and to make independent plans to depart the country as soon as possible.
The advisory highlighted the risk of sudden flight cancellations, airspace disruptions and transportation shutdowns urging Americans to act without delay. For those unable to leave Iran immediately the Virtual Embassy recommended remaining indoors at home or in other secure locations.
US citizens were also advised to maintain an adequate supply of essential items including food drinking water medications and other daily necessities. The statement emphasized preparedness in case of prolonged restrictions on movement or access to services.
Additionally the advisory suggested that if conditions allow, Americans may consider leaving Iran via land routes, particularly through neighboring Armenia or Turkey. The Virtual Embassy reiterated the importance of personal safety situational awareness and continuous monitoring of official updates as regional tensions remain high.
