WANA: (Roshan Khan) The funeral prayers for martyred police officer Zahidullah Wazir were offered with full state honors at Wana Police Lines in Lower South Waziristan, officials said.
The ceremony was attended by senior civil and military officials, including District Police Officer Tahir Shah, Deputy Commissioner Musarrat Zaman, Assistant Commissioner Rizwan Barki, Scouts Force Commandant Tahir Khan, DSP Circle Asghar Ali Shah, and local unit officer Major Adil. A large number of police personnel, government representatives, and local residents also participated in the funeral.
During the ceremony, police and Pakistan Army officials paid tribute to the fallen officer, acknowledging his sacrifice for the country’s security. Floral wreaths were laid on the coffin as a mark of respect.
Following the funeral prayers, the martyr was laid to rest with official honors, including a ceremonial salute. Authorities praised Wazir’s bravery and commitment to duty, describing his sacrifice as a symbol of dedication to national security.
Participants reaffirmed their resolve to continue efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. Officials emphasized that the sacrifices of security personnel would not go in vain, stating that martyrs remain a source of national pride and honor.
