Rain could play a decisive role in Pakistan’s final Group A fixture at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where they are set to face Namibia in Colombo.

Following a crushing 61 run defeat against India Pakistan must secure a victory to guarantee progression to the Super 8 stage. Pakistan currently sit third in Group A with two wins from three matches but trail behind the United States on net run rate which stands at a negative 0.403.

Weather forecasts indicate a 50/60% chance of rain on match day with overcast conditions expected throughout. Winds of approximately 19 km/h may also influence playing conditions.
