Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi amid rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the two leaders discussed ways to ease tensions between Islamabad and Kabul and explored diplomatic measures to promote peace and stability in the region. The conversation focused on de escalation efforts and the importance of dialogue in resolving ongoing disputes.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that the Minister of State reaffirmed Qatar’s consistent position in supporting the peaceful resolution of conflicts at both regional and international levels.
