Pakistan’s armed forces have been conducting a large-scale military response titled Operation Ghazab ul Haq following what officials described as aggression from the Afghan side. According to Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar the operation has been ongoing for several days and has resulted in significant losses for the Afghan Taliban regime.
Speaking to the media Tarar stated that approximately 415 Afghan Taliban fighters have been killed, while more than 580 others sustained injuries during Pakistan’s retaliatory action. He further claimed that 182 Taliban checkposts were destroyed and 31 were taken under Pakistani control.
The minister also reported that 185 tanks, armed vehicles and artillery guns belonging to Afghan Taliban forces were destroyed. Additionally, Pakistan conducted effective air operations targeting 46 locations inside Afghanistan.
Officials described the operation as a defensive response aimed at ensuring national security and protecting territorial integrity. Authorities have emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to safeguarding its borders and responding decisively to any external threats.
