Tehran: Iran’s government has reaffirmed its commitment to strong retaliation after Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would soon launch a third wave of massive attacks on key Iranian cities. Tehran warned that any country participating in the war against Iran will be treated as an act of war.
Trump stated that the upcoming strikes would target deeper governmental centres following earlier attacks on the presidential office and the Supreme National Security Council. Iran despite losing senior officials in previous waves vowed to continue retaliatory actions, threatening U.S. and Israeli bases, Gulf energy infrastructure and allied positions across the region. Militias including Hezbollah are reportedly engaged in operations in Lebanon, Iraq, and beyond.
The conflict has also prompted the United Arab Emirates to announce that no country will be allowed to use its territory amid the ongoing U.S.Israel operations. Analysts warn that this third wave could further disrupt global oil markets.
The first wave of attacks began on February 28 during Operation Epic Fury, targeting Iranian leadership and military infrastructure. Iran responded with missile and drone strikes on U.S. and Israeli positions, causing widespread panic and casualties. The conflict continues to escalate raising fears of a broader regional war.
