Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Suspends Official Fuel for Ministers Amid Petroleum Crisis

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced strict austerity measures to cope with the ongoing petroleum crisis and economic pressures caused by regional tensions.

According to official sources, the provincial government has decided to suspend official fuel supplies for provincial ministers until the petroleum crisis is resolved. In addition, the fuel allowance for government officers’ vehicles has been reduced by 50 percent with immediate effect.

The chief minister has also imposed restrictions on protocol vehicles accompanying ministers and senior officials. Under the new policy only one vehicle will be allowed for essential security purposes when ministers or senior officials travel.

To further reduce fuel consumption, the Punjab government has introduced work-from-home arrangements for many government offices. Only essential staff members will be required to attend offices during this period.

In the education sector, authorities have announced the closure of schools, colleges, and universities across the province from March 10 to March 31. However, examinations will continue according to the previously announced schedule.

Educational institutions have been encouraged to conduct online classes and virtual learning to minimize disruption to students studies while the government focuses on managing the ongoing fuel crisis and maintaining economic stability.
