Senior officials, lawmakers, and security personnel attend the funeral, paying tribute to the bravery of the fallen officer Muaaz Khan.
District Khyber: The funeral prayer of police constable Muhammad Muaaz Khan, who was martyred in firing by unidentified armed men in the Ashkhel Khwar area within the jurisdiction of Landi Kotal Police Station, was offered with full state honors at Police Lines Shakas.
According to district police sources, a large number of officials and citizens attended the funeral to pay their final respects. Among those present were District Police Officer Khyber Waqar Ahmad, a member of the provincial assembly, SP Investigation, SP Bara Circle, officers of the Pakistan Army, Director PTS Shakas, district administration officials, DSP Headquarters, circle officers, relatives of the martyr, and many police personnel.
During the ceremony, a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honor to the fallen officer. Senior police officials laid floral wreaths on the coffin of the martyr while special prayers were offered for the elevation of his ranks and the peace and security of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Khyber Waqar Ahmad expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyr. He described Muhammad Muaaz Khan as a humble, soft-spoken, and brave police officer who sacrificed his life in the line of duty to protect citizens and maintain peace.
He added that the Khyber Police will always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs and assured that the family of the fallen officer will not be left alone. The police force, he said, remains determined to continue its fight against terrorism and criminal elements.
