Rawalpindi’s Anti-Terrorism Court has postponed its reserved verdict in the November 26 protest case involving PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Alima Khan, until Oct. 26.
RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has postponed its verdict in the November 26 protest case involving Alima Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, for the fourth time, setting Oct. 26 as the new date for the announcement.
The court deferred the reserved verdict without conducting further proceedings on the scheduled hearing date. Alima Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Malik, appeared before the court.
ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah had reserved the verdict on Sept. 22 after hearing the case. However, the court has yet to announce its decision, and the latest postponement has extended the wait for a ruling.
The case is linked to the Nov. 26 protest and the legal proceedings initiated against several individuals associated with the PTI. Alima Khan, the sister of the party’s incarcerated founder, is among those facing proceedings in connection with the matter.
The court has not issued a final ruling in the case. Oct. 26 is now the next scheduled date for the verdict, although the decision remains pending until it is formally announced.
The repeated delays have left the case unresolved despite the earlier reservation of the verdict. No further proceedings took place on the latest scheduled hearing date, according to the information provided.
The court’s eventual decision will determine the outcome of the case against Alima Khan concerning the allegations before it. Until the verdict is announced, the proceedings remain pending.
