Atta Tarar Says AJK Election Verdict Reflects Public Trust in PML-N’s Development Record

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar says the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir endorsed PML-N’s development agenda while urging political rivals to respect the democratic mandate.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured a simple majority in the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, describing the outcome as a reflection of public confidence in the party’s performance and development agenda.

Speaking to the media, Tarar said the election result was difficult for political opponents to accept, adding that voters actively participated in the democratic process and supported PML-N based on its track record of governance, public service, and development.

He stressed that political competition and criticism are part of democracy but urged all parties to demonstrate tolerance, patience, and respect for the public mandate. Responding to allegations made by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Tarar dismissed the claims as baseless and challenged critics to present evidence instead of making accusations.

The minister also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for congratulating the Pakistan Peoples Party on its reported success in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, calling it a positive democratic tradition.

Tarar maintained that PML-N’s leadership has consistently prioritized the development of Kashmir and said the party’s victory in the AJK elections should be accepted in the spirit of democracy.
