Bahawalnagar Police Launch Open Door Citizen Engagement Program

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Bahawalnagar:
Under the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bahawalpur, Ghazi Salahuddin, and on the instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Kamran Asghar, Bahawalnagar Police have launched the Open Door Citizen Engagement Program to enhance public awareness and strengthen police–community relations.

As part of the initiative, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Fayaz Ahmed Sanpal held interactive meetings with citizens belonging to various segments of society. During these sessions, he briefed participants about the working of the police department, available public services, and mechanisms for seeking assistance and lodging complaints.

Additionally, similar awareness programs were conducted at police offices, police service centers, police counters established in hospitals, and traffic offices. Officers in charge and traffic staff actively engaged with citizens, providing information about police procedures, service delivery, and traffic management systems.

The primary objective of the Open Door Citizen Engagement Program is to highlight the positive image of the police, promote transparency, and build public trust. The initiative aims to reduce the communication gap between the police and the community while encouraging mutual cooperation for maintaining law and order.

Police officials stated that such programs will continue regularly to foster a stronger partnership between citizens and law enforcement agencies.
