Beijing has reiterated its strong support for Iran emphasizing the importance of respecting the country’s sovereignty security and territorial integrity. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi conveyed these assurances during a recent conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
According to Chinese state media Wang stressed that Iran’s national sovereignty and regional stability must be fully respected and that efforts should be made to prevent further escalation in the Middle East. The Chinese government expressed deep concern over potential conflicts, particularly in light of recent U.S. and Israeli military actions targeting Iran which Beijing considers violations of international law.
The spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs further emphasized that both sides should halt military operations and take measures to avoid the spread of conflict. China maintains a firm stance against the use of force in international relations and advocates for dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes.
