Citizens have raised serious complaints against a NADRA official named Babar, accusing him of illegal practices and inappropriate behavior while dealing with the public.
According to the complaint, people are allegedly made to stand in long queues for hours, while the official remains busy on his mobile phone or chatting with friends. It is further alleged that he prioritizes his acquaintances and completes their work through “parchi” or personal reference, allowing them to leave without waiting in line.
When people standing in the queue protested and questioned why they were being made to wait while the official attended to his friends, the officer reportedly reacted angrily. Witnesses claim that he told the public that they could do whatever they wanted and that he would continue his actions regardless.
Citizens have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Nowshera and the Director of NADRA to take notice of the situation. They said that if officials behave in such a manner, it undermines public service and causes hardship for ordinary people.
The complainants also expressed concern that during the holy month of Ramadan, when many people are fasting, such disrespectful behavior by the official is particularly inappropriate. They have urged the relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the matter and issue a formal notice to the NADRA official named Babar.
