The body of Dr. Asma Mushtaq has been safely airlifted from Spantik Base Camp to Skardu following an exceptionally difficult recovery operation, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said.
In a post on X, Tarar said the body would be transported to Lahore on the next available flight, subject to favorable weather conditions.

He expressed gratitude to the Frontier Corps Northern Areas (FCNA), the Arandu Volunteer Rescue Team and all those involved in the recovery effort.
The operation to recover and evacuate Dr. Asma Mushtaq’s body from the remote Spantik Base Camp was described as exceptionally difficult, with the body first being transported to Skardu by air.
