Dr. Shehzad Ali Khan found guilty of harassment; administrative misuse and improper conduct cited
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ombudsman for Protection Against Harassment has dismissed Dr. Shehzad Ali Khan from his position as Vice Chancellor of the Health Services Academy after finding him guilty of harassment.
The ombudsman ruled on two separate complaints submitted to the forum. While Dr. Khan’s allegations of consent and “honey-trapping” against a female doctor were rejected, the complaint filed by the female doctor against him was accepted. She had accused Dr. Khan of misusing his authority to establish an improper relationship and granting job benefits to a student.
The ombudsman emphasized that Dr. Khan acted without doubt in committing harassment. Allegations of financial corruption against the complainant female doctor were dismissed due to lack of evidence. The forum also stated that allowing Dr. Khan to continue as Vice Chancellor could lead to repeated misconduct in the future, highlighting that no government position is above the law.
Consequently, Dr. Shehzad Ali Khan has been formally removed from his post. Both parties had filed complaints against each other, but the investigation concluded that the Vice Chancellor had abused his powers.
