Deputy commissioner directs Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence to inspect firefighting equipment, emergency exits and safety facilities across the district.
NOWSHERA: Authorities in Nowshera have ordered a comprehensive review of fire safety and emergency preparedness measures at public and private hospitals across the district.
A meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner of Nowshera reviewed safety arrangements, fire protection measures and preparedness to deal with emergency situations at hospitals.
Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence were directed to conduct detailed inspections of firefighting equipment, emergency exits and other safety facilities at all hospitals in the district and submit necessary recommendations.
Relevant departments were also instructed to ensure strict compliance with prescribed fire safety standards at hospitals to enable timely and effective action in the event of an emergency.
The administration emphasized that protecting the lives and property of patients, attendants and hospital staff remains the top priority.
